WE SAW LOTS OF SUNSETS....
We had a GRAND time when he was here. As you are aware, our Friends flew in from DC on Jan 15-20th and we spent the majority of the time at the beach. We stayed home a few days and then returned to the beach for a week. It never rained one day and we saw a lot of sun/sunsets. The weather was "balmy" in the 60's.
We went to friends of ours for the Super bowl. They also have a condo right down the hall from us, and bought a brand new home on Rock Creek river about 20 miles east of the condo. It is a beautiful 2800 square foot home, just beautiful. There is one for sale 2 doors down that got Robert to thinking quite a bit about how wonderful it would be to move to a brand new home. The one for sale is over 3500 square feet and 3 stories. I really think he would think seriously about it, but we really want a one story home like our friends......he thinks me doing the stairs is too much. Huge lot right on a river where the salmon run through. I doubt if it will ever come to anything, but it was fun to go see them and watch the super bowl. We were so MAD those fricken Steelers won the game as we were all cheering for Arizona.
Rachel: Sounds like you had frineds over and also made a ton of food for Jeff and Dave's party....
DId anyone do anything fun for superbowl?
Jenny: So glad that Mace is starting to feel better...what an ordeal. She looked sick in the most recent pictures.
Brenda: Way to go on all the success with the diet.
Bandit and Dolly: stop eating crap you find in the garbage
Ally: Sorry you did not win the Bisell cleaner competition. You are by far much prettier than thosefools that are runner's ups.
Jean: What is the latest with Sue B? I will call you tonight.
I might add that Robert wanted the Mercedes charged up when he got here as the battery was dead. He had bought a charger and told me how to do it....did not work. When he got here, he did it again.....car starts....no instrument panel lights.....Suffice to say the Benz was in the shop the entire week we were at the beach, picked it up yesterday to the tune of 2,850 dollars. NOT A TYPO.....We learned that you can never "jump" a Mercedes. You hae to take the battery out, chrage it and put it back in the car. A pretty expensive lesson.
I will be driving that car at least one time a week from here on out to keep that battery charged and running efficiently....I am so used to driving the Blazer that I never drive that car anymore. Well, that will change in the future.
Got some good deals at the outlet mall at the beach, some like Brenda showed on her blog last week....80-90% off and do not forget NO sales tax....
I have to get back to a regular schedule, get back to work on my ETSY shop. I also joined another site like Etsy, called "artfire" so I am going to try that at the same time
Sounds like you had a nice breakfast last Sat.....
and Lastly, I NEVER did find the set of keys I lost...I guess I will never get to the bottom of that issue. Suffice to say I have lots of duplicates that Robert made while he was here.
How are Jean and Bill doing? Have they been out searching out old vintage things for her store? Have not heard much about them since I left town.
Sheba is laying on her Dad's slippers......this will go on for the next few days.
